“It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If we take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale.” -Iroh. This quote from a beloved character of my favorite show demonstrates my approach to therapy. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward healing at your own pace.
Seeking support is a courageous step toward healing, growth, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are. I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. I am especially passionate about working with trauma and anxiety, and I strive to provide care that is trauma-informed, empowering, and culturally responsive. As someone with a multicultural background, I value the ways our identities, cultures, and lived experiences shape who we are. I aim to honor each person's unique story and collaborate with clients in ways that feel authentic, respectful, and meaningful. As someone that is of both African American and white heritage, I am especially interested in working with the BIPOC community. I value the ways our identities, cultures, and lived experiences shape who we are.
My Story
Outside of therapy, music is my passion. I always have a playlist going, am at a concert, or finding new songs to learn on the piano. I believe music is a strong force that promotes connection and powerful emotions. When I’m not listening to music, I’m often curled up with a good book and my dog.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Brigham Young University and am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Utah Valley University.
My love for this work has been shaped by my experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as my commitment to creating inclusive, culturally relevant spaces where people feel empowered to heal and grow. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life's challenges and discover their own resilience.
