Accepting New Clients

Chantelle Atkin

MSW, LCSW

Life inevitably brings challenges, and I believe each individual has the capacity to navigate them by drawing on personal strengths, values, support systems, and inner resilience.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and forward-focused. I meet clients where they are and collaborate with them as they develop practical tools to feel empowered, supported, and capable of meaningful growth. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where healing can occur at a pace that feels right for each person.

I have experience working with individuals and families facing grief and loss, chronic and terminal illness, parent–child relationship challenges, substance use disorders, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, caregiver burnout, and LGBTQ+ related concerns.

To best support each client’s unique needs, I integrate a range of evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, play-based therapy, positive parenting strategies, Internal family systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care.

My Story

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Utah Valley University and my Master of Social Work from Campbellsville University. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of the diverse challenges individuals face across the lifespan and have shaped my compassionate, holistic approach to care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four energetic children. I value staying active and engaged through crafting, learning new skills, reading, hiking, camping, and playing games.
